LPFA will provide the following, which needs to be returned at the end of the season in good condition:

Red Hooded Sweatshirt
Clear Cheer Rain Jacket
White no-show socks
Bows (to be determined by coach)
All practices and games are mandatory! If your daughter can not attend a practice/game, please notify her head coach in advance of the practice/game.
The first two weeks of practice will be Monday thru Thursday. There is also a possibility of Friday night practice during the first two weeks. After that, practices will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (with a possible Monday.) Competition practices may be on different nights. Practices for football only cheerleaders will continue thru October. Competition cheerleaders will go until our final competition.
Each level has the possibility of 2 separate squads, based on the number of girls enrolled. If there are two squads, one will cheer on Saturday and the other on Sunday. If there is only one squad, they will cheer at all Sunday games and approximately 4 Saturday games. The goal is to cheer for all the different football teams. Squad assignments will be decided by the end of August.
Typically LPFA cheerleaders will participate in cheer competitions each season. Competition participation is not mandatory and will depend on the development of the skills necessary to compete. Girls on the competition squad must participate in all competitions scheduled for that season. For the mite and the midget level we will be having a “tryout” for the competition squad, which is more like an evaluation. The competition squad will consist of about 20 girls a level. The tryout will last through the first few weeks of practice. More info at the parents meeting.
